      We are here to serve you

      At South University, we offer you, the military student, a quality educational experience along with flexible online programs to help you achieve your in-service and post-service goals. Building on its heritage of academic excellence, South University delivers career-focused, real-world programs in an online environment.

      At South University, all military students including Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, Veterans and spouses of servicemembers will have a team of dedicated admissions, financial aid and advising representatives trained in and focused on meeting your unique needs as a military student.

      To recognize your service and commitment, South University has scholarships for military affiliated personnel to eliminate or minimize their out-of-pocket costs.

      Tuition & Fees

      Active Duty, Drilling and Active Members of the Reserve and National Guard

      South University is pleased to offer an Active Duty Scholarship to eligible servicemembers.  For undergraduate programs the cost of tuition is $166 per credit hour after the scholarship is applied. For graduate level programs, South University offers an Active Duty Scholarship of 10%.

      Veterans

      For undergraduate and graduate level programs, South University offers eligible veterans the Veteran Scholarship of 10%.

      Post 9/11 GI Bill Participants: South University participates in the Post 9/11 GI Bill and the Yellow Ribbon program. This means that veterans entitled to full benefits under the Post 9/11 GI Bill will have their entire cost of tuition covered for their effective period of coverage, based on current charges and Veterans Affairs rates.

      Montgomery GI Bill: Veterans using the educational benefits provided for under the Montgomery GI Bill will find that a significant portion of their tuition expenses will be covered or reimbursed.

      Fees

      The application fee is waived for active duty, reserve, National Guard and veteran personnel who qualify.

      Additional Information

      To apply for the military scholarships veterans should submit DD Form 214 showing anything other than a dishonorable discharge.  Active duty military personnel should submit their most current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) DFAS Form 702.
